# $BSTONK

> The platform token - and the first token the platform launched.

\$BSTONK is BaseStonk's own token, launched through the same machinery as
everything else on the venue. Address:
[`0x0F61Edbfe6Cd86024C0f210c0695B08df55fdfc9`](https://basescan.org/address/0x0F61Edbfe6Cd86024C0f210c0695B08df55fdfc9#code)

## The 1% that works

Every \$BSTONK trade pays 1%, split by the hook:

| Share | Goes to |
| ----- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| 0.25% | **Holder dividends**, paid in USDC automatically |
| 0.25% | **Buyback & burn**, executed inside the swap |
| 0.5% | Platform |

Both wedges run in the trading machinery itself. The token page shows the
cumulative amounts burned, bought back and paid to holders, live.

## Supply only moves down

\$BSTONK's supply was fixed at launch - there is no mint function and no
owner. The burn wedge, plus voluntary burns from the fee wallet, mean the
only direction supply moves is down. The current burned total is on the
token page under *Tokenomics*.

## A pair, not just a token

\$BSTONK is a registered launch pair: new tokens can be priced in it,
pay their fees in it, and pay their holder dividends in it.
